NNPC Doubles Dangote Crude Supply to 10 Cargoes

 The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has doubled its crude oil supply to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, delivering a total of 10 cargoes in March, a move expected to ease pressure in Nigeria’s downstream oil sector.



Industry operators say the increased supply could lead to improved fuel availability and possible price relief in the coming weeks, as the refinery ramps up production capacity.

The Dangote refinery confirmed the development, noting that the surge in crude deliveries marks a significant boost to its operations. The facility, regarded as Africa’s largest refinery, has been working to stabilise output amid fluctuating supply conditions.

Stakeholders in the downstream sector have welcomed the development, expressing optimism that consistent crude supply to the refinery would reduce dependence on imported petroleum products and enhance local refining capacity.

Analysts also note that sustained collaboration between the NNPC and the Dangote refinery could help stabilise fuel prices and strengthen Nigeria’s energy security.
