Popular Lagos-based cleric, Pastor Chris Okafor, has finally reacted to the allegations made by a woman who claims to be his abandoned daughter.
The woman, whose identity has circulated widely on social media, recently accused the senior pastor of Grace Nation International Ministry of allegedly denying her paternity, abandoning her and her mother, and refusing to take responsibility for her upbringing. Her claims sparked intense reactions online, with many Nigerians demanding clarification from the cleric.
In a statement released on [insert date if needed], Pastor Okafor dismissed the allegations, describing them as false, misleading and a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image and ministry. He maintained that he has no abandoned child and challenged the accuser to provide credible proof to substantiate her claims.
The pastor further stated that he has always lived a life of accountability and integrity, adding that he would not hesitate to seek legal redress against anyone spreading defamatory information against him. According to him, social media should not be used as a tool for character assassination without verifiable evidence.
Pastor Okafor also appealed to his church members and the general public to remain calm and avoid rushing to conclusions, stressing that truth will ultimately prevail.
As of the time of filing this report, the woman has yet to publicly respond to the pastor’s rebuttal or present documentary evidence to support her allegations.
