The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has said he is learning the art of politics from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he described as one of the finest political strategists in Nigeria’s history.
Yilwatda made the remark while speaking with party stakeholders, noting that President Tinubu’s political journey, resilience and ability to build lasting alliances have continued to shape modern Nigerian politics.
According to him, Tinubu’s experience, patience and deep understanding of power dynamics remain key lessons for leaders within the ruling party.
“President Tinubu is one of the best politicians this country has ever produced. His political intelligence, consistency and strategic thinking are qualities many of us are learning from,” Yilwatda said.
The APC chairman stressed that Tinubu’s role in building and sustaining political structures across the country was instrumental to the party’s success, including its emergence as Nigeria’s ruling party in 2015 and its continued dominance at the federal level.
He added that the president’s leadership style, especially his ability to nurture talents and allow internal democracy within party structures, has contributed to the APC’s stability.
Yilwatda reaffirmed the party’s commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s administration, urging party members to remain united and focused on delivering good governance to Nigerians.
He also called on APC leaders at all levels to emulate Tinubu’s political discipline and long-term vision, saying such qualities are essential for sustaining democracy and development in the country.
