l Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has pledged to reposition the state through policies aimed at tackling poverty, improving education, and strengthening healthcare delivery ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
Oyebamiji made the pledge while addressing party members and supporters, where he outlined his vision for sustainable development and inclusive governance in the state. He said his ambition is driven by the need to address the socio-economic challenges facing Osun and to restore confidence in government.
According to him, poverty alleviation will be a top priority, with plans to create jobs, support small and medium-scale enterprises, and empower youths and women across the state. He also emphasized the importance of revitalising the education sector through improved infrastructure, better funding, and capacity building for teachers.
On healthcare, the APC candidate promised to expand access to quality medical services by upgrading existing facilities, strengthening primary healthcare centres, and ensuring affordable care for residents, particularly those in rural communities.
Oyebamiji assured party members that his campaign would be issue-driven and people-focused, stressing that good governance, transparency, and accountability would form the foundation of his administration if elected.
He called on party supporters to remain united and committed as preparations intensify for the 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
