ADC fixes primaries, sets presidential form at ₦100m

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced its timetable for the 2026 primary elections, setting the cost of its presidential nomination form at ₦100 million.

According to the party, the schedule outlines key activities leading up to the primaries, including the sale of forms, screening of aspirants, and the conduct of party primaries across various levels. The move signals the ADC’s early preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Party officials said the pricing reflects administrative costs and the scale of organizing nationwide primaries, though such fees often spark debate about inclusivity and accessibility for younger or less-funded aspirants.

The announcement comes amid ongoing political realignments, with parties positioning themselves and potential candidates weighing their options ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Details of the full timetable are expected to guide aspirants on deadlines for purchasing forms, submitting credentials, and participating in the screening process.
