Ahead of the Super Eagles’ opening match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has released a fresh prophecy concerning Nigeria’s team selection.
According to the cleric, the inclusion of Ademola Lookman in the starting lineup and allowing Victor Osimhen to play the full 90 minutes could negatively affect the Super Eagles’ performance in the crucial encounter.
Primate Ayodele warned that Lookman should not feature in the match at all, claiming his presence would not add value to the team.
“Osimhen should not play the entire match, and Lookman is not meant to play at all because he will not add value to the team,” the cleric stated.
He further cautioned that poor tactical decisions and player management could hinder the team’s progress in the tournament, urging the technical crew to be spiritually and tactically alert ahead of the fixture.
The prophecy has sparked mixed reactions among football fans, with some dismissing the comments as controversial, while others believe previous predictions by the cleric warrant attention.
As anticipation builds for the Super Eagles’ AFCON opener, all eyes will be on the team’s final lineup and performance on matchday.
