The Minister of Defence, Christopher Gwabin Musa, has visited Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, following renewed security concerns in the Northeast sub-region.
The visit comes amid rising threats and ongoing efforts by the Nigerian military to address insurgency and restore stability in the region. During his trip, the Defence Minister is expected to assess the security situation firsthand, engage with military commanders, and review strategies aimed at curbing attacks.
Christopher Gwabin Musa reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to tackling insecurity and strengthening operations against insurgent groups, while also boosting troop morale on the frontlines.
The Northeast, particularly Borno State, has remained a focal point in Nigeria’s fight against insurgency, with authorities intensifying efforts to ensure lasting peace and security.
