Fresh reports suggesting that former presidential candidate Peter Obi may be considering an exit from the Labour Party (LP) have sparked widespread reactions among party leaders and members of the Obidient movement.
The speculation, which gained traction across social media and political circles, has generated mixed responses, with some party stakeholders expressing concern over the potential impact on the party’s future, while others dismissed the reports as unfounded rumours.
Several Labour Party leaders have urged supporters to remain calm, stressing that no official communication has been received from Obi regarding a resignation or defection. They reiterated that the former Anambra State governor remains a key figure in the party’s structure and ideology.
