The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has announced that it will consult its relevant organs before taking a final decision on the planned nationwide protest.
This follows a late-night meeting between NLC leaders and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, where key national issues, including workers’ welfare and economic challenges, were discussed.
According to the NLC, the consultation process will involve its leadership structures and affiliates to determine the next line of action in the interest of Nigerian workers and the general public.
The labour body assured Nigerians that it remains committed to constructive engagement while safeguarding the rights and welfare of workers nationwide.
