The City Boy Movement has congratulated Seyi Tinubu on his installation as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland, describing the title as a recognition of his contributions to community development and youth empowerment.
In a statement released on Sunday, the group said the traditional honour reflects Tinubu’s growing influence and commitment to humanitarian and social causes, particularly initiatives targeted at young people across the South-West and beyond.
According to the group, the title of Okanlomo—a revered Yoruba appellation—symbolises leadership, courage and service to the people. It noted that Tinubu’s involvement in outreach programmes, philanthropy and support for grassroots initiatives earned him the recognition.
“The installation of Seyi Tinubu as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland is a testament to his dedication to uplifting communities and empowering the next generation,” the statement read. “This honour goes beyond politics and underscores service, compassion and leadership.”
Members of the City Boy Movement expressed confidence that Tinubu would continue to use his platform to promote unity, development and opportunities for youths across the region.
The installation ceremony attracted traditional rulers, community leaders and supporters, who praised the values of service and cultural pride associated with the title.
