Former First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, has disclosed details of how her relationship with her late husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, became strained after he allegedly believed rumors within the Presidential Villa that she planned to harm him.
Aisha Buhari made the revelation while speaking in a recent public engagement, where she reflected on her experiences during her time as First Lady and the challenges she faced within Aso Rock.
According to her, the late president was influenced by what she described as “Aso Rock gossip,” which led him to treat her with suspicion and emotional distance. She alleged that the situation affected their marital relationship and made her time in the Villa deeply difficult.
